Lemons with Blue Wooly Curls

OK – so, I haven’t exactly painted in awhile.  But there’s always new beginnings in life – so here we go again!!  Hope you like this one.  What else should I paint if its been awhile?? – LEMONS of course.  Have I told you before that the Lemon subject matter is my most popular sell?  In fact, just sold a lemon painting last week, which of course inspired me to break out the lemons again.  But this one has the addition of Blue Wooly Curls.  You know what those are, right?  Google them if you don’t.

A bowl of a day for lemons….

What a gorgeous day!  Life is so full with so many choices on how to spend the time.  For me, it was an accomplishment to squeeze out this painting.  Hooray!!  So many days have passed with no painting – at different times of the year, my work overrides painting and such is the case as of late.  Someone mentioned to me that today is the SuperBowl, something I could care less about  – but perhaps fitting that I’ve painted 4 bowls….

I know I paint a lot of lemons, but as long as I am still enjoying, why not?!?  Painted on a “deep canvas” with 1 1/2 inch sides – not my usual ground, but nifty as you don’t have to frame this one – it’s ready to go!  In a few days, I’ll post it on Etsy.
